
April 2011: In response to customer demand for retrofits in older cases, AEC has extended its LED fixture line to include multiple lengths from 48" to 72". See our Data Sheet for more information.
March 2011: Eco-Story has added AEC’s fixtures and motion detector to its product line and will promote them in the US and Canada through direct sales efforts as well as through its network of representatives and distributors. Portland based Eco-Story www.eco-story.com manufactures and markets a line of best in class LED lights that replace a variety of halogen and incandescent bulbs for use primarily in commercial settings. The company has a strong national presence and has also built a very strong track record of large customer projects in the restaurant, retail, and hospitality markets.
February 2011: After evalauting a number of fixtures Associated Grocers of Maine (AGM) has selected AEC as its preferred lighting supplier for refrigerated cases and will promote AEC’s lighting to its near;ly 300 independent retail members. AEC will provide training and support to AGM’s staff of retail specialists who advise its customers on equipment purchases.
October, 2010: A major northeast grocer has selected AEC's new lighting system to retrofit multiple stores in the northeast. The order follows a competitive selection process that included most major national competitors. Nine stores are expected to be completed by year end 2010.
September, 2010: AEC announces the launch of it's new LED luminaire for refrigerated cases. Designed to the exacting specifications of a leading northeast supermarket chain, the fixture offers top of class energy efficiency, superior light distribution and a unique field adjustable feature. February, 2010: AEC is pleased to announce that David R. Murray has joined the firm as Director, Business Development. David brings extensive experience in finance, management and go to market strategies.
August, 2009: AEC received a Development Award from the Maine Technology Institute to support the commercialization of its new LED lighting system for refrigerated cases. The awards, are granted twice each year on a highly competitive basis following extensive peer review.
